About Shai Pasternak

Shai Pasternak is an independent drummer, composer, clinician and private teacher. Shai attended Rimon School of Music in Israel and Berklee College of Music in Boston. As a well-known drummer, Shai has played with many Israeli artists in styles varying from Pop, Rock, Latin and Jazz. Currently, Shai is working on his first solo album to be released later this year.

Currently, Shai owns “Splash”, a drumming school in Tel Aviv where he and his teachers teach students from all around Israel.

Outside his own website, Shai writes for Israeli’s largest drum blog by providing advice for drummers.

Shai published the first comprehensive drum book in Hebrew which became a best seller in Israel. In a short period of time on the market, the book sold thousands of copies. Topics in this 95-page book include rudiments, reading, grooves, fills and solos. The book soon will be released in English. A couple moths ago Shai published his second book for advanced drummers.

Shai is endorsed by Vater sticks, and his signature sticks are best seller.

Shai runs his own YouTube where new videos are uploaded weekly with tips and lessons for drummers.
